RETURN & CANCELLATION FAQs
What is the return policy for French Fitness?
French Fitness allows returns within 14 days from the time you received the product. To be eligible for a refund, you must contact us within 14 days and be prepared with your proof of purchase, order number, delivery date, and the reason for the return.
Important Exception: Heavy remanufactured commercial equipment (such as commercial treadmills, ellipticals, and strength machines) is NOT eligible for return once delivered. These items are covered by our comprehensive warranty and will be serviced/repaired rather than returned. See "Can I return remanufactured commercial equipment?" below.
Can I return remanufactured commercial equipment?
No. Heavy remanufactured commercial equipment is NOT returnable once delivered, except where a return is required by applicable law.
Due to the size, weight, and specialized nature of remanufactured commercial fitness equipment (including commercial treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and strength machines), these products are serviced and repaired under warranty rather than returned for comfort preference, noise level, or minor cosmetic concerns.
Instead, these products are covered by our industry-leading warranty:
• If there is a defect or freight damage, we will first repair the issue or replace parts under warranty at no cost to you.
• Warranty service is coordinated by National Gym Service, our in-house service coordinator.
• You agree to work with us by providing photos, allowing technicians access to the equipment, and returning any requested parts.
• If, after reasonable attempts, a covered defect cannot be repaired so that the unit functions as described, we will work with you on an appropriate resolution, which may include a comparable replacement or other remedy, in our discretion.
Returns are not accepted for buyer's remorse, preference changes, or minor cosmetic imperfections on remanufactured commercial equipment.
What about cosmetic imperfections on remanufactured equipment?
Remanufactured commercial equipment may have minor cosmetic imperfections (for example: scratches, scuffs, touch-up paint, or color variations) that do not affect function. These characteristics are normal for remanufactured equipment and are not considered defects or grounds for a return or chargeback.
If you have a cosmetic concern at delivery, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will review your concern and, if appropriate, address it through repair parts, touch-up solutions, or other warranty service — not through returns.
Can I place my order on hold before it ships?
Yes. A hold request can be made any time before the product leaves the warehouse. If you need to delay your shipment for any reason, contact us as soon as possible.
Cancellation while the order is still on hold (i.e., before the product has left the warehouse) will result in a full refund with no restocking fee.
Once the product has left the warehouse, cancellations are no longer available and the standard Return Policy applies, including the 25% restocking fee and actual freight costs.
What if my freight delivery arrives damaged?
IMPORTANT: You must note ALL damage on the delivery receipt at time of delivery and report to us within 48 hours.
For freight deliveries (LTL/truck shipments):
• Inspect the packaging before signing the delivery receipt
• Note ANY damage on the delivery receipt – even if it's just "possible damage" or "carton crushed"
• Take photos of the packaging and any visible damage BEFORE opening
• Contact us within 48 hours with photos and description of damage
• Do NOT refuse delivery unless the product is completely destroyed – note damage and accept delivery
Resolution process: For damaged items, we will first attempt to repair the damage or send replacement parts under warranty. This is faster and more cost-effective than returning heavy freight items. If the damage is severe and cannot be repaired, we will work with you on a replacement or refund.
If you sign the delivery receipt without noting damage, freight damage claims become extremely difficult to process with the carrier, and you may be responsible for repair costs.
What happens if I receive a defective product?
Defective products are repaired under warranty – we do not accept returns for issues that can be fixed.
If you receive a product with a defect or malfunction:

• Provide photos/videos of the issue
• We will diagnose the problem and arrange for repair or replacement parts under warranty
• Warranty service is coordinated by National Gym Service, our in-house service coordinator
Why repair first? Most defects can be quickly resolved with a replacement part or minor repair – often faster than the return/refund process. Returning heavy fitness equipment is expensive and time-consuming. Our warranty service ensures you get a working product with minimal hassle.
For defects reported within 7 days of delivery, we will evaluate the repair/parts process. If a defect is severe and cannot be reasonably repaired after reasonable attempts, we will discuss replacement or refund options. Defects reported within 48 hours of delivery may receive expedited review.
How long do I have to ship my return after it's approved?
Returns must be shipped within 10 days of receiving return authorization.
Once your return is approved and you receive a Return Authorization (RA) number:
• You have 10 calendar days to ship the item back to us
• The RA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the package
• Use trackable, insured shipping and retain your tracking number
• If not shipped within 10 days, the return authorization is void and you will need to request a new RA (which may not be approved if outside the 14-day window)
Is there a restocking fee?
Yes. A 25% restocking fee applies to all approved returns, plus actual freight/shipping costs.
The restocking fee covers the costs associated with inspecting, testing, reconditioning, and restocking returned equipment. For freight shipments, actual freight costs incurred (both outbound and return) will also be deducted from your refund.
Example:
• Product price: $2,000
• 25% restocking fee: $500
• Original freight to you: $200
• Return freight (your responsibility): $250
• Net refund: $1,300 ($2,000 - $500 restocking - $200 original freight)
What condition must returned products be in?
Returned products must be in their original condition, with original packaging and tags attached. Stickers on the product or packaging should remain intact. French Fitness does not accept returns on items damaged by abuse, misuse, or improper installation.
Should original packaging be kept for returns?
Yes, you must retain the original packaging to qualify for a return. The product should be in its exact original state, with tags and stickers still intact. Alterations or removal of packaging labels will make the return ineligible.
Who pays the return shipping cost?
Return shipping is at your expense. Customers must prepay and insure the return shipping charges. We recommend using a trackable shipping method. French Fitness is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit during return shipment.
Refunds exclude original shipping costs. If shipping was free on your original order, the actual shipping cost we incurred will be deducted from your refund.
How should goods be packed and returned to French Fitness?
Products must be packed in their original packaging, with all tags and stickers intact. The product should be in new condition and free from any damage. If the packaging is altered or damaged, the return may not be accepted. French Fitness reserves the right to inspect and verify that the product was returned in its original condition.

What items cannot be returned?
The following items cannot be returned:
• Remanufactured commercial equipment (covered by warranty service instead)
• Items damaged by abuse, misuse, or improper installation
• Items obtained from unauthorized sources
• Custom-configured or special-order items
• Items with removed or altered packaging labels
• Installation or service fees (once service has been performed)
• Items not shipped back within 10 days of return authorization
How long does it take to process a refund?
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days. The following deductions apply:
• 25% restocking fee
• Original shipping/freight costs (if free shipping was provided)
• Any damage to product or packaging
Can I cancel my order?
Orders may be cancelled before shipment at no charge. If an order has already shipped, the standard return policy applies. Cancellation of custom or special orders may be subject to additional restocking fees or may not be possible.
What if my order was cancelled after dispatch?
If you cancel an order after it has been dispatched, return shipping is at your expense. Customers must prepay and insure the return shipping charges. The 25% restocking fee and any actual shipping/freight costs incurred will be deducted from your refund.
